Project Saltstone

Saltstone is a budget-conscious holiday retreat across the road from Bongaree Beach. Designed for Airbnb stays, the cosmetic renovation brings a relaxed coastal feel to the home, with an emphasis on guest comfort and practical everyday use. Fresh white finishes and a consistent neutral floor connect the living, dining and kitchen spaces. Coordinated furnishings, soft textiles and coastal artwork create a welcoming setting without overwhelming the compact interior. Blue bathroom tiles introduce colour, while the bedrooms carry a softer palette for a restful feel. Throughout, the focus was on making considered updates where they would have the greatest impact, balancing a cohesive design with the realities of a renovation budget.
