Project Midnight is a compact poolhouse powder room that takes its colour cues from the water outside. The client welcomed the opportunity to play with blue, creating a connection to the pool through a bold, layered palette.

Deep blue sculptural tiles frame the freestanding basin, while blue glass pendants and a smoked grey mirror add depth and reflection.

Custom grey cabinetry discreetly stores toilet essentials, keeping the small space uncluttered. Curved geometric floor tiles introduce movement and contrast, bringing a playful finish to this poolside retreat.

Project Jewell brings colour, warmth and texture to a tiny poolhouse bathroom. Soft neutral surfaces create a calm backdrop, allowing the blue-green glazed shower tiles to become the focal point.

Variations in the tile glaze catch the light, adding depth and a connection to the poolside setting. Copper-toned tapware and matching shower hardware bring warmth to the cooler blues.

A floating timber vanity provides storage while keeping the floor beneath visually open. The illuminated arched mirror and wall light soften the compact space, balancing practical everyday use with a distinctive sense of character.

Project Bach Pad transforms a dated Indooroopilly apartment into a contemporary home for a young client seeking a masculine feel with a touch of colour. His inspiration images informed a palette of warm timber, muted greens, expressive stone and aged bronze.

Opening up the cramped kitchen was central to the redesign. Removing part of the wall between the kitchen and dining room created space for a larger kitchen and brought more light into the dining area. An existing structural wall element was retained and incorporated into the island, allowing the design to work around the building’s constraints while connecting the spaces.

A built-in study desk off the kitchen provides a dedicated workspace, integrated into the cabinetry for a consistent finish.

A doorway wall in the hallway was also removed, making room for a substantial run of custom cabinetry that flows from the living area down the hall. A built-in dry bar creates a feature in the lounge, while the adjoining cabinetry provides generous storage and a visual connection between the spaces.

In the bathroom and laundry, blue-green tiles introduce richer colour, paired with aged bronze fittings and sculptural lighting. Materials and finishes carry through the apartment, giving each room its own character within a cohesive whole.

The result is a more open, functional apartment with the warmth, colour and confident identity the client was looking for.

Saltstone is a budget-conscious holiday retreat across the road from Bongaree Beach. Designed for Airbnb stays, the cosmetic renovation brings a relaxed coastal feel to the home, with an emphasis on guest comfort and practical everyday use.

Fresh white finishes and a consistent neutral floor connect the living, dining and kitchen spaces. Coordinated furnishings, soft textiles and coastal artwork create a welcoming setting without overwhelming the compact interior.

Blue bathroom tiles introduce colour, while the bedrooms carry a softer palette for a restful feel. Throughout, the focus was on making considered updates where they would have the greatest impact, balancing a cohesive design with the realities of a renovation budget.

Project Monochrome is a compact bathroom redesigned for three teenagers, balancing a bold black-and-white palette with practical shared storage.

An adjoining linen cupboard was incorporated into the design to create a custom built-in storage area for their everyday essentials. A mirror added to the cupboard door gives it a second purpose, providing a full-length reflection without taking up additional wall space.

Textured charcoal tiles and matte black fittings define the shower and vanity wall, contrasted by white tiles that keep the room feeling fresh. Vertically detailed vanity cabinetry adds texture, while an arched mirror softens the strong lines.

Recessed shower storage keeps products close at hand, and coral towels introduce a changeable touch of colour. The result is a bathroom with a confident identity and thoughtful details that support the daily routines of a busy household.

Project Belle reimagines a bathroom and ensuite in Brighton, combining classic character with the practical needs of the home. Guided by the client’s preference for a timeless style that suited both the house and its bayside setting, the design brings together pale timber cabinetry, fluted basins, illuminated arched mirrors and brushed gold fittings.

The ensuite was completely replanned, incorporating the adjoining walk-in robe to create a larger, more generous space. The existing clawfoot bath was relocated from the main bathroom and resurfaced, giving a much-loved feature a new place as the centrepiece of the ensuite.

Moving the bath also opened up possibilities for the main bathroom, allowing its layout to be redesigned around a walk-in shower.

Fixture and finish selections were coordinated across both rooms, with patterned floor tiles providing a connection between the spaces. The result is a pair of bathrooms that feel cohesive and personal, balancing traditional details with fresh, contemporary functionality.
